Solidarity Capital eclipses $5M milestone

Cary, NC – Solidarity Capital notched a significant growth milestone this 1Q 2020, surpassing $5M in financings to 20 diverse social impact enterprises.  Recent Solidarity led rounds include more than $1.1M for a Durham mixed-income housing acquisition; $0.9M for RTP-based Spotlight Solar’s series A and series seed financings; and $450K for Happy Dirt (formerly Eastern Carolina Organics) in Durham.  Solidarity has sourced capital from 59 local impact investors for these recent and prior financings.

Goodmon Award for Economic Development presented to SCG founder Steve Monti

Raleigh, NC – Tonight, Solidarity Capital founder Steve Monti was named the recipient of the 2017 Goodmon Award for Economic Development, for leadership building local impact investing as a powerful community serving economic development tool. The award was presented to Steve by Capital Broadcasting Corporation CEO Jim Goodmon and Leadership Triangle CEO Jes Averhart, at Leadership Triangle’s 2017 Goodmon Awards Gala hosted at the Raleigh Convention Center the evening of December 5th.
