Solidarity Capital Group named as 2016 Best for Community honoree by B Lab

Berkeley, CA – Today, Solidarity Capital Group was recognized for creating the most positive overall community impact by B the Change Media based on an independent, comprehensive assessment administered by the independent nonprofit B Lab.  Honorees are featured in the upcoming fall issue of B Magazine and on B the Change’s digital platform, bthechange.com.  They were also honored at the first-annual Best for the World Celebration & Awards Ceremony at the University of California, Berkeley’s Haas Business School.  See the video and media release below for more info.

North Carolina B Corps win bid to host global B Corp Champions’ Retreat October 2016

Portland, OR – B Lab, the nonprofit organization that provides the vision, advocacy, and industry standards for the fast growing global community of over 1,500 Certified B Corporations, announced this evening it has selected Raleigh-Durham to host its 2016 B Corp Champions’ Retreat October 18-20, 2016. The global gathering attracts over 500 B Corp CEOs and business leaders for three days of collegial best practices sharing, B-Inspired TED talks, a street festival and marketplace, and more. How to Leave a Mark: David Brooks NYT Op-Ed plugs impact investing

North Carolina Certified B Corps host “Build a better business” event

Raleigh – B Lab and the growing community of dozens of North Carolina based Certified B Corps hosted over 150 local business leaders Jan 15 at HQ Raleigh — one of 100 events being held globally to celebrate the launch of The B Corp Handbook: How to Use Business as a Force for Good.  CEOs from Certified B Corps The Redwoods Group, Seventh Generation, Solidarity Capital Group, and Southern Energy Management each offered perspectives on the B Corp movement and their businesses.   See the event recap and photos here.
